Limited Commute
I reside in Vancouver and work outside city limits, and had considered ride transit until the pandemic. Since March 2020 I've been working from home around 75-80% of the time. While transit may be an efficient means of transportation, due to current conditions, I wouldn't consider using any transit method now in order to protect myself from multiple shared surfaces & exposure risks. Also, I've heard that an old hotel near the Van Mall is going to be used for the homeless, so the bus station there that I would be using I imagine is going to be overrun soon with panhandlers and homeless riders. Working from home has lowered my carbon footprint, reduced my expenses, and reduced my risk of exposure, and it appears that throughout 2021, this may be a continued option. My suggestion: Save some money on studying transit options until the pandemic is over.
