Get There Vancouver - Residential Travel Options Pilot Program

The City is piloted a new travel options program to offer community members who recently moved to the area with customized transportation information and support, events, and rewards to help walk, bike, carpool, and take the bus more often.
The pilot program was available in two areas: neighborhoods around The Vine on Fourth Plain and The Vine on Mill Plain/Fisher’s Landing.
Program Goals
- Encourage and increase the use of travel options such as bicycling, walking, transit, carpooling, riding a scooter, vanpooling, etc.
- Assist new movers in accessing and using travel options available in their area
- Enhance transportation education for new residents and the community
A look back at the pilot program
Since July 2024, the Get There program team worked to help both new and long-term residents of Fourth Plain and East Vancouver + Mill Plain get around their communities and beyond through travel options like walking + rolling, biking, carpooling, and transit.
Here’s what we accomplished!

What is next?
Now that the program is wrapped up, the program team is gathering feedback to help shape future transportation programs in Vancouver. Participant surveys were sent directly to participants via email the week of March 3, 2025.

What is the goal of this program?

Where will the program be available and for how long?
The city piloted the program in neighborhoods around The Vine on Fourth Plain, The Vine on Mill Plain, and Fisher’s Landing from July 15, 2024, to through February 2025.

How do I sign up for the program?
The pilot program ended at the end of February 2025 and is no longer accepting new signups. You can learn more about the program by visiting https://getthereswwashington.org/gtv or by phone by calling (360) 487-87939.
When do I receive my Hop card sign-up incentive?
The pilot program ended at the end of February 2025 and Hop cards are not being mailed at this time. When the program was active, please allow up to two weeks from when you sign up to receive you Hop card.
I received my Hop card and added it to the App. Where is my available regional day pass?
Open the app and navigate to “My Passes” to see the regional day pass loaded on your Hop card. If you can only see the virtual card on your account, please swipe left to view the additional Hop card with the regional day pass loaded on it.
Why these neighborhoods?
Areas surrounding C-TRAN's The Vine bus rapid transit system on Fourth Plain, Mill Plain, and Fisher’s Landing, offer more dense multi-family housing, have high-frequency transit service, and new and improved active transportation facilities like protected bicycle and small mobility lanes.
Who is the city working with on the pilot program?
The city partnered with community-based organizations, schools and universities, neighborhood associations, property managers, the Vancouver Housing Authority, and service providers like C-TRAN and Community in Motion.
How is the program funded?
The pilot program is 100% grant-funded by the Washington State Department of Transportation 2023-2025 Regional Mobility Grant Program and matched with the 2023-2025 Commute Trip Reduction Program grant funding.
