The City is updating its Downtown Design Guidelines to provide improved guidance to architects and developers working on projects downtown. The guidelines are an important part of the development review process, ensuring that projects are compatible with downtown character and support the City’s broader development goals.

Since early 2023, staff have been gathering feedback from the community to help inform the guideline updates. Draft guidelines are now available for review.

To learn more about the proposed guidelines and share your feedback, join us at the Oct. 15 Downtown Stakeholders Forum or at community meetings on Oct. 16 and 17.
