Placing Improvements in the Park

Park planners have identified three options for where the basketball court and picnic shelter could be placed in the park. Please take this one question survey to let us know which layout you prefer. All three concepts include a new irrigation system and lighting on the northeast side of the park.


Option A: Near NE 62nd Ave.

The basketball court and the picnic shelter are positioned near NE 62nd Ave. to maintain clear sight lines, encouraging positive use of the space. This location enhances visibility and accessibility for park visitors.

Option B: Basketball in the Center

The basketball court is centrally located in the open lawn area, providing visibility from the playground while keeping any out bounds basketballs contained within the park. The picnic shelter is located on the northwest side of the walking path, within view of NE 62nd Ave. 

Option C: Basketball Off the Playground

The basketball court is places adjacent to the existing playground, clustering active uses in one area while maintaining a passive outer loop. The picnic shelter is located on the west side of the park, near NE 62nd Ave.
